'Insiste en tu abrazo,
redobla tu furia,
crea un espacio de injurias
entre yo y el espejo,
crea un canto de leprosa
entre yo y la que me creo.'
I use photography as a tool that allows emancipation of ideals which define how to understand our bodies and the ways in which we invoke pleasure. Looking to avoid blurring the lines between pose and exhibition, pretending not to reify the female body, I had make two photographs of female nudes using the light to show the body as it is.
The importance of the body as a language, crossed by culture and history, leads me to think out about the way we invoke for desire. The photographs invite us to think and accept who we are, because that's the way we can choose how to love and enjoy.
The name of the serie refers to the poem 'Invocaciones' by Argentinian writer Alejandra Pizarnik.
